I’m in the middle of transforming a Giant granite MTB in a raceable cyclocross bike for next season, I’d love to go out and buy a cyclocross bike new but it aint an option with my budget. I was interested to view your braking and gearing set up, I’d been chasing STI levers on ebay for weeks but this seem a more suitable and easier option. I also like the use of the top mounted brakes. Do you find the bar end shifters easy to use? And do they work with MTB groupsets?

I just want to clarify. Yes, the settings say stereo, but a PRO II receiver should be able to give you 5.1 surround sound.

I've been able to get x264 with 5.1 Dolby Pro II with the following settings for handbrakeCLI. (Not sure how to do the settings exactly in the GUI version.) The "$z" part is a variable for the file name from a script I wrote.


HandBrakeCLI -e x264 -x bframes=2:subme=6:mixed-refs=0:weightb=0:8x8dct=0:trellis=0:ref=2 -q .51 -5 -E faac -B 96 -R 44.1 -6 stereo -D 1.0 -i ./"$z" -o ./"$z".m4v;

Here is the complete script. It is for converting .avi files, but you should be able to easily adjust the script as necessary:

LIST='*.avi'
for z in $LIST; do
   HandBrakeCLI -e x264 -x bframes=2:subme=6:mixed-refs=0:weightb=0:8x8dct=0:trellis=0:ref=2 -q .51 -5 -E faac -B 96 -R 44.1 -6 stereo -D 1.0 -i ./"$z" -o ./"$z".m4v; #does the conversion

I actually have the opposite problem, cygwin shows some files (java.exe) available in a directory (/cygdrive/c/windows/system32); but if you look at the same directory using a windows cmd shell or file explorer, the file is not there. I just discovered this and I’m still researching the issue.

Pc was looping the starting windows screen. Disabling controller for usb 2.0 allowed install.
